Qualifications
- Has a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in communications, marketing, advertising, media, digital, public relations, design, film, or any related field
- 3+ years professional experience in an advertising or marketing industry, or in any similar field
- Strong understanding of storytelling–visually and narratively.
- Has a deep understanding of video editing; experience with audio, lighting, photography and video
- With exceptional understanding and innate interest in basketball, specifically NBA and WNBA. This interest must go on and off the court – this includes basketball news, statistics, techniques, and personalities.
- Must be flexible and able to work with events, clients, and stakeholders in different time zones.

- Work in tandem with Strategy Director, Associate Strategy Director, Social and Brand Strategists in guiding and delegating work to Assistant Social Strategists, Copywriters, and Community Managers for brainstorms, pitch formations, client work, community management, and creative work.
Social Media & Digital Planning and Creation
- Create a cohesive tone across all social media channels under the Varsity umbrella and clients, in tandem with editorial, project, and product teams
- Brainstorm, pitch, create, produce, and execute social media strategy and content across all mediums, for all channels under the Varsity umbrella, including the company’s own, for the approval of editorial, project, and product teams.

The Videography intern can either be a shooter or a video editor, but they can also do both. The Videography intern’s responsibilities however include making sure their ideas for video are understood, which means finding pegs, creating a rough storyboard, and aligning with the other members of the team for art and copy.
