Producing San Mig Light’s 12 Days of Holiday Cheers

How do you create an online event for an audience inundated with Zoom fatigue at the end of the year? San Mig Light’s 2021 12 Days of Holiday Cheers, mixed up its usual roster of sought after DJs to bring its audience a sweet at-home party experience.

Varsity Co-op injected twelve talents into the mix, crafting a line up that showcased different art forms and formats. Bringing together previous San Mig Light DJ Spin-Off champions, emerging performers and influencers, 12 Days of Holiday Cheers made sure there was something for everyone on varying platforms.

Varsity Co-op opted for a produced set backlit with light projections to be aired on Youtube, improving on the previous year’s program. Viewers were treated to a variety of genres brought to them by San Mig DJ Spin-off winners, and up and coming singers—swooned by ballads and indie pop, and hyped up by sweet beats and nostalgia.

It was important to include at-home intimate backdrops that felt organic to Instagram Live and TikTok feeds. Varsity Co-op hosted branded Instagram Lives that featured singer and dance talents who then invited their audience to kick back with San Mig Light over the holidays. The brand’s visual elements framed their performances. Viewers were treated to mukbang and jamming sessions one night, and dance parties at another.

In the years of staying indoors, Varsity Co-op and San Mig Light created a holiday lineup that did not overstay its online welcome but instead gave viewers a good time that kept them going through the night.
